In this concert we offer a journey through the birth, evolution and consolidation of American classical music. Starting from the first steps of the birth of the authentic American music tinged and inspired by other styles such as jazz, country or blues with Leroy Anderson or Aaron Copland, passing through authors who revolutionized the musical panorama as is the case of one of the pioneering composers of North America Amy Beach, or the composer and conductor William Grant Still, the first African-American to conduct a major American symphony orchestra, and the first to have an opera composed by an African-American performed by a major company and broadcast on national television.

We will also get to know the strong influences of popular and folk music that so characterize authentic American music from the hand of one of its greatest exponents: Paul Schöenfield. And of course we will dwell at the strong influence of the world of cinema in the hands of great titans of soundtracks such as Hans Zimmer or John Williams.

This entire trip will be  hand in hand with the Duo formed by the Ukrainian violinist Ala Voronkova, and the pianist, composer and conductor Guerassim Voronkov on piano. They will also be accompanied by the stage director, actress and musical promoter Maria Voronkova who will explain the social context, the history and the secrets of these works, as well as all the curiosities of their composers.
