Dumpy Lobsters – Jazz is entertainment
Dijous, 29 d’abril 2021, 19.30 h
ICCIC Auditorium, Via Augusta, 205
The jazz born in the south of the United States at the end of the second decade of the 20th century in the city of New Orleans in particular spread to the big cities in the north of the country, such as Chicago and New York, coinciding with the progressive migratory movement that saw the rural Afro-American population of the southern states move to the industrial cities in the north.
Jazz occupied an increasingly prominent place in the world of entertainment and performance in this new setting. Small clubs, cabarets, music halls, and ballrooms hosted jazz music which, without prejudice to its intrinsic quality, is an inseparable part of this world of entertainment.
